Mini Turkey Wrap Crunch Factor
When I was in third grade, I remember stuffing potato chips into the middle of my Philly soft pretzel during lunch time. Weird? Maybe. But it was so darn good!
Since then, I have always loved stuffing chips in/on my food. Especially with my sandwiches!
When I was trying to think of what to make for lunch one day, I was sold on doing something like this but was not sure how.
We were down to the bottom of the chip bag. You know…where the teeny, weeny pieces reside.
The pieces that always make you look like a slob eating…or like your starving…
Because I don’t like wasting food or serving “crumbs”, I thought, why not throw them in a wrap! I have never tried my “chip thing” in a wrap before!
So into a wrap they went!
BTW* I always, always keep flour tortillas in my freezer! They come in handy 99% of the time and take up minimal space!
Plus, they are so easy to find these days and are so versatile. The variety they offer is impeccable too!
From spinach, to red pepper, to black bean…it’s awesome! (I used a spinach tortilla.) They even have gluten-free tortillas!
So this Turkey Avocado Crunch Wrap is what I came up with!
I made it bite sized by simply cutting into smaller “wheels”. Much more fun to snack on AND you can see all of the layers of crunchiness!
Here is what I did:
Mushrooms, Zucchini, Bacon? You Choose!
These can be made to satisfy any and all guests you may have by substituting or adding whatever you’d like!
Vegetarian? Add some grilled mushrooms, zuchinni and/or eggplant instead of the turkey!
Gluten-free, get the GF tortillas!
Meat eaters? Add some ham or bacon to it!
This is great to serve at almost any gathering. It can be done ahead of time and does not need to be warmed up. Just serve wheels on a large tray and cover with plastic wrap until guests arrive! Serve with extra chips on the side!

This Mini Turkey Avocado Crunch Wrap With Thyme Dressing is the perfect snack or lunchtime treat! Kids will love them too!
- 1/2 Tsp. Minced Fresh Thyme (2-3 sprigs)
- 2 Tbsp. Mayonaisse
- 2 Tsp. Dijon
- 2 Tsp. Honey
- 1/8 Tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1/8 Tsp. Onion Powder
- Good Pinch Salt & Pepper
- 2 Large Flour Tortillas (I used spinach)
- 1/2 Cup Potato Chips (Kettle Cooked works best!)
- 6 Thinly Sliced Turkey
- 4 Slices Cheese of your choice (I used American)
- 1/4 Large Thinly Sliced Red Onion
- 1/2 Large Sliced Avocado
Grill your tortillas by placing them directly on top of your stove's burner! It takes a couple minutes but makes a big difference so don't skip this step! (If you don’t have a gas burner, I suggest placing under broiler.) Stay close and flip with tongs continuously until slightly blackened.
Once your tortillas are ready, pile onto a large plate with a moist towel on top.
Spread a generous layer of your dressing on bottom of tortilla. Make sure to spread to edges to it holds when you roll it.
Add layers neatly in this order: 2 slices of cheese, 1 turkey slice, a couple potato chips, 1 turkey slice, a couple potato chips, last turkey slice, 2-3 slices avocado, little bit of onion, a couple more potato chips.
Start at one end and roll tightly and firmly. It is okay if you crush the chips!! The wrap should hold. If not, you may need to add more dressing and spread to the edges.
Trim off ends and cut into 6 or so even slices using a large chefs knife! A sharp one preferably.
Drizzle with more dressing and sprinkle with thyme if you like.
-Stuff and roll tortilla ahead of time and keep in plastic wrap in fridge so the tortilla does not dry out. Pull out and slice when guests arrive.
-Make extra dressing and place on the side in small bowl with a spoon for guests to drizzle.
-Place some thyme springs on the side or sprinkle crushed potato chips on top to give guests an idea of what’s inside.
